What we build
Précis AI is an AI-powered précis writing tool. It generates rule-compliant précis from legal judgments, briefs, contracts, and academic passages, grades the output against a configurable rubric, and shows a sentence-level diff before you ever see it.
A précis is not a summary. It compresses a passage to one-third its length while preserving argument sequence, tone, and factual accuracy, without lifting phrases verbatim. That discipline is hard to do well with generic AI tools. We built Précis AI specifically to get it right.

How it works
Every generation runs a three-step pipeline. First, Claude generates the précis against your configured rule set. Second, a separate grader call scores the output rule-by-rule and returns an overall grade. Third, a diff mapper shows exactly which source sentences were covered, dropped, or added. You get all three results together.
If the word count falls outside the target range, the system retries before surfacing output. You never see a précis that hasn't passed its own rules.
