Copyright and Intellectual Property

Users are responsible for ensuring they have the right to upload and process documents submitted to the Service. Do not upload documents that are subject to confidentiality obligations, court orders, or legal privilege restrictions that would prohibit sharing with a third-party service. We do not review documents for privilege or confidentiality before processing.

The Précis AI platform, including its interface, scoring rubric, and pipeline logic, is the intellectual property of Précis AI Technologies. All rights reserved.

Data and Confidentiality

Documents you upload are processed via Anthropic's Claude API under our enterprise agreement, which includes data processing addenda and a no-training opt-out. We do not store your raw documents permanently; only the generated précis and associated metadata are retained in your generation history.

For highly confidential documents (e.g., privileged communications, sealed matter, classified material), we recommend redacting sensitive identifiers before upload, consistent with your professional obligations.

Bar Council and Professional Standards

Legal professionals using this Service remain bound by the rules of professional conduct of their respective bar associations or regulatory bodies. It is your responsibility to ensure that use of AI-assisted drafting tools is consistent with your jurisdiction's ethical rules and professional standards, including obligations of competence and supervision.
